Our business was born from a desire to support rural entrepreneurs and is built on decades of experience working as coaches, consultants, coordinators, and cheerleaders for small businesses and non-profits.
We know the difficulties of working with limited resources, in challenging environments, often alone. We know the added pressures rural businesses face. We’re here to prove to the world that small-town businesses can adapt, thrive, and lead their communities through changing and challenging times.
We help take care of the parts of your business that are causing you concern, holding you back, or in need of expert support. Our solutions are simple, custom, and built with care.
We also provide local services to support individuals and organizations in our own area. We are the go-to project, property, and event management company in the Wells, Barkerville, Troll, and Bowron Lakes.

Our philosophy
Our approach to business is represented by the piggy bank; we believe that building something big requires the patience and vision to make small, incremental changes over time.
The pig represents wealth, good fortune and prosperity in Chinese culture, and important historical element of the place we call home.
The vision of the pig sparked entrepreneurial spirit in Jillian Jiggs, a favourite character from our founder’s childhood tales (see below)
“Jillian, Jillian, Jillian Jiggs,
It looks like your room has been lived in by pigs!”
…and so it began
This famous rhyme is from a Canadian children’s book series by Pheobe Gilman.The books featured a creative and crafty young girl named Jillian who build widely imaginative playscapes with things around the house.
The second book in the series, the Wonderful Pigs of Jillian Jiggs, was a childhood favourite. When Jillian Jiggs cleans her room, she discovers a jar of buttons and decides they look just like pigs’ noses. So she comes up with fantastic idea – she’ll make pigs and sell them! She makes pirate pigs and princess pigs, striped pigs and plaid pigs…but once they are made, can Jillian part with them?
The story has a wonderful themes of creativity, entrepreneurship, community, and caring, and it is one of the reasons why we chose the pig the represent our our business.
